A Subconscious Walk
​
“A Subconscious Walk” is a brief journey through the artist’s mind. Reclaimed materials, colours and shapes come together to create this visual experience. With no preconceived ideas of the final result, the artist allows his creative energy to flow freely, tapping into the part of himself that is his subconscious. Three central sculptures flanked by a series of mixed media pieces and works on paper have come together to create “A Subconscious Walk” by Antonio Pendones.

An exhibition of Haitian and Dominican subjects inspired by the passing of Law 168-13 issued by The Dominican Republic’s Constitutional Tribunal which established that children of undocumented immigrants born in the Dominican Republic are not considered Dominican, retroactive to 1929. This law disproportionately and unfairly affects Dominicans of Haitian descent.
